Returns & Exchanges

We want you (and your rider) to feel confident in every purchase. If something isn't quite right, we're here to help. Because we carry a mix of items, return eligibility varies slightly by product type.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

You can start a return in two ways:

  1. Visit our Return Portal and log in with the email used for your order. Select the item(s) you'd like to return, choose a reason, and follow the prompts.
  2. Email crew@voltastra.co with your order number, the item(s) you'd like to return, your reason for return, and clear photos of the item and original packaging.

Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return Window

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Requests submitted after 30 days are not eligible for return.

Return Approval

All returns must be approved before being sent back.

If your return is accepted, you'll receive a return shipping label and instructions for sending your package.

Safety Gear (Helmets & Protective Pads)

Because these products are designed to protect your child, we have strict return standards to ensure safety and hygiene.

To be eligible for return:

  • Item must be unused and unworn
  • No signs of riding, impact, dirt, odor, or damage
  • All original packaging, manuals, stickers, and inserts included
  • Helmet protective liners must remain intact

Helmets that have experienced any impact are not eligible for return.

Apparel & Gloves

Items may be returned if they are:

  • Unworn and unwashed
  • Free of dirt, scuffs, pet hair, or odor
  • Returned with all tags attached
  • Returned in original packaging

Third-Party Items

Some items ship directly from our partners. Returns for these products may be subject to supplier policies, customer-paid return shipping, or supplier restocking fees.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number so we can resolve the issue.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges, but we do offer free size swaps.

How a size swap works:

  1. Contact us at crew@voltastra.co with your order number and the size you need.
  2. We'll confirm availability and send a prepaid return label.
  3. Once we receive the original item, we'll ship the replacement size.

Size swaps must be for the same item in a different size. If you'd prefer a different product, please return the original item and place a new order.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you whether your refund is approved.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • A $5.99 return processing fee is deducted from the refund
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Refund processing typically takes 5–10 business days

The return fee does not apply to defective, damaged, or incorrect items, or to approved size swaps.

If a return does not meet eligibility requirements, the item may be shipped back to you at your expense.

Final Sale Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Clearance or discounted items
  • Gift cards
  • Items marked Final Sale
  • Worn or damaged products
  • Impacted safety gear
  • Custom or personalized items
